Vol. 513 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Code.

Joe Higgins

Ceist:

336 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for Finance if he will seek clarification from the Revenue Commissioners on the issues raised in correspondence in relation to the tax affairs of persons (details supplied) in County Dublin. [1126/00]

The tax affairs of the individuals concerned were the subject of a previous parliamentary question on 2 December 1999. I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the issues raised by the taxpayers were addressed in detail by its director of customer services in a letter dated 14 December 1999. The taxpayers were also offered a meeting with the director of customer services, if they wished to discuss any further issues of concern to them.

In addition, the tax position of the individuals concerned for each of the years in question has been reviewed by their tax district and a letter setting out their revised tax position has recently been sent to them by their tax inspector.
