Ceist:

361 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Finance if he has approved an allocation of increased staffing resources to the Garda Síochána Complaints Board to allow it to adequately deal with the level of complaints it is receiving; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1607/00]

Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy):

A request for additional staff for the Garda Síochána Complaints Board is being considered in my Department. I hope to be in a position to take a decision on it shortly.
