Data on mortality are routinely published in the annual and quarterly reports on vital statistics compiled by the Central Statistics Office. The most recent figures available refer to the second quarter of 1999 and these are provided in the table as follows in addition to data for 1990 and for each of the years from 1995 to 1998.
