Michael Ring

Ceist:

542 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when funding will be provided for the Achill Sound sewerage scheme in County Mayo. [1523/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 540, 541 and 542 together.

This scheme has been approved to advance through planning. The preliminary report is under consideration in my Department, following receipt of the results of the marine outfall survey in November 1999, and will be dealt with as quickly as possible. As the scheme has not advanced sufficiently to go to construction the issue of funding does not yet arise.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

545 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number and name of sewerage schemes, water schemes and road projects within his Department for approval which were submitted by Kerry County Council; the length of time applications have been with his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1659/00]

The information requested is being compiled and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
