The South Eastern Health Board has established a project team to consider the development requirements of Waterford Regional Hospital in the context of the board's strategic plan for the development of services in the region. My Department is represented on this project team and is involved, in this context, in the detailed planning work required to progress this development. In relation to this, my Department will now be engaging in detailed consultations with the South Eastern Health Board on its overall priorities in the context of the national development plan.
