The Athy socio-economic profile produced by the Athy investment development and employment forum identifies a number of key issues which the forum feels need to be addressed. One of these relates to the lack of transport within the region and between local towns.
I have taken up this issue with the managing director of Bus Éireann and I understand that a meeting is to be arranged shortly between the secretary to the forum and officials from Bus Éireann to discuss the matter.
