339 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans, if any, he has for the provision of the extension and refurbishment of Kilnadeema national school, Loughrea, County Galway; the reason for the delay in the sanction and approval of these works; and the timescale in this regard in view of the overcrowding. An application from the school authorities for additional accommodation will be dealt with as quickly as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand within my Department.

340 Ms Coughlan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding certain capital projects (details supplied); and when the projects will go to tender. [4364/00]

I can assure the Deputy that where applications have been received in my Department's planning and building unit, that the cases will be dealt with as quickly as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand within my Department.

341 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Education and Science if refurbishment plans involving minor works to upgrade toilet facilities for the teaching staff for Gaelscoil Cluain Dolcain, which have been awaiting sanction for a prolonged period, will be approved. [4365/00]
