Vol. 516 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

222 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when outstanding cattle and sheep headage payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8734/00]

In 1996 the herdowner submitted a valid area aid application with a declared forage area of 14.21 hectares. The application has been fully processed and payments have issued based on this figure.

Unfortunately, EU regulations prohibit amendments, including the addition of land, being made to an application after 15 May 1996 and, consequently, no changes can be made to the area declared at this stage.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

223 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive his balance payment of 1999 ewe premium and suckler cow premium. [8757/00]

The person named was one of a number of herdowners selected to be audited in respect of his area aid application. This audit has now been completed and the area aid application has been fully processed. Any further payments due will issue as soon as possible.
