235 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will grant an extension of time to 31 July 2000 to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact that he had the builder booked but due to our recent bad weather conditions and a back log of work the builder advises that he will be unable to complete the work until 31 July 2000 and if he will make a statement on the matter. An extension of the time limit for carrying out works under the dairy hygiene scheme for the person named had already been granted until 13 April 2000.
Recognising that some farmers may still have difficulty in completing investment works under the Operational Programme 1994-99 Control of Farm Pollution and Dairy Hygiene Schemes, I have recently further extended the final completion date and this is now 30 June 2000. Accordingly, this extension will apply to the person named and the investment works concerned must be completed by 30 June 2000.
