253 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of people qualifying for and participating in the REP scheme in County Cork, with a breakdown of the number in each district electoral division. [9133/00]
At 31 December 1999, 3,292 applications had been received, approved and paid in County Cork. Just over £37.5 million has been paid to participants in County Cork under the scheme to date and over 125,000 hectares in the county are farmed in accordance with REPS. A breakdown of participation by district electoral division is not available.
