Vol. 516 No. 6

Written Answers. - Disabled Persons Grant.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

292 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the delay in processing and approving an application under the disabled persons grant scheme for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow by the South-Eastern Health Board; the number of applications with the board awaiting a report; and the measures his Department will take to clear the back log. [9032/00]

The assessment for a disabled persons grant in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the query and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
