94 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Defence when the promised report on the Curragh Plains will be produced; the consultation, if any, there has been with local bodies and organisations; if their views will be taken into account in the report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The report of the inter-departmental task force on the future management and development of the Curragh of Kildare will be published shortly.
During the course of its deliberations the task force invited submissions through advertisements placed in both national and local County Kildare based newspapers. A total of 28 submissions were received and the groups and individuals involved were subsequently afforded an opportunity to make oral presentations to elaborate on their submissions.
In preparing the report I have no doubt that the task force would have taken due cognisance of all submissions which were received.
