This case has been referred to the property management section of the Office of Public Works which acts as agent of my Department in relation to the acquisition of sites.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 264 and 269 together.

An application has been received from County Kildare VEC for the provision of additional accommodation at Maynooth post primary school.

Currently, at the request of County Kildare VEC, the planning unit of my Department is reviewing its estimate of the long-term projected enrolments for the school. When this review is completed, decisions concerning the amount of accommodation to be provided at the school will be taken.

Michael D'Arcy

Ceist:

265 Mr. D'Arcy asked the Minister for Education and Science when the extension at FCJ secondary school, Bunclody, County Wexford, will begin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10098/00]

An application for the provision of additional accommodation at FCJ secondary school Bunclody is progressing through architectural planning.

While it is not possible to indicate at this stage when this project is likely to go to tender, every effort is being made to expedite the architectural planning process.
