Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Moloney – the need to include Portarlington, County Laois, in the plans for decentralisation; (2) Deputy Perry – the destruction of dunes and the removal of trees in a special area of conservation at Classiebawn Castle and estate, Mullaghmore, County Sligo; (3) Deputy McDowell – the decision by the Minister for Education and Science to terminate the three year infant cycle in St. Joseph's co-educational primary school, East Wall Road, Dublin 3; (4) Deputy Kirk – the need to review the level of funding to voluntary secondary schools to bring them into line with other schools in the sector; (5) Deputy Cecilia Keaveney – the loss of a premises (details supplied) and the role of the State agencies in the matter; (6) Deputy Joe Higgins – the concern over the death of a prisoner (details supplied) in Wheatfield Prison; (7) Deputy Hayes – the reason a person (details supplied) has not received the appropriate mature student's grant; (8) Deputy Neville – the death by suicide of a person (details supplied) in Wheatfield Prison; (9) Deputy Finucane – the need for the appointment of a full-time principal at a school (details supplied); (10) Deputy Bradford – the local authority housing crisis in the north Cork area; (11) Deputy Ulick Burke – the need to subsidise local authorities which have embarked on waste recycling projects and are unable to find an outlet for recycled materials.

The matters raised by Deputies Perry, Neville, Kirk and Hayes have been selected for discussion.
