Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

152 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Finance the amount of funding provided under the Estimates for 2000 to alleviate the flooding (details supplied) in County Limerick; if the county council which is to undertake the work has been notified; if the legal matters raised on the Adjournment debate on 23 February 2000 have been settled; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11776/00]

Funding of £450,000 has been pro- vided in the estimates of the Office of Public Works for 2000 to alleviate flooding in Drumcolliher, County Limerick. All legal matters have been completed and Limerick County Council has been given confirmation of the funding. Officials from the Office of Public Works and Limerick County Council will meet shortly to agree and finalise the programme of works.
