In order for any item to be included in the list of items reimbursable under the general medical services and drug payment scheme, it must comply with a published list of criteria.
I understand that an application to have the product referred to by the Deputy included in the list of reimbursable items has recently been received by my Department. The application is at present under consideration and it is hoped that a decision in the matter can be made shortly.
