91 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the issues discussed at the meeting between the officials of his Department and the various interests in Dumore East regarding the harbour management; the proposals, if any, he has arising from the meeting; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials of my Department met representatives of the harbour users in Dunmore East on 4 April and discussed a wide range of issues relating to the management and operation of the harbour. In light of these discussions a number of measures are being considered and developed with a view to improving the operation of the harbour and the quality of service for users in the short term. A strategic review of current and future infrastructural needs at Dunmore East is also being commissioned and there will be ongoing consultation with local interest groups and harbour users during this exercise.
