The future development of the Reserve Defence Force, including aspects such as equipment and clothing, is considered in detail in Chapter 5 of the White Paper on Defence.
The Government on 29 February 2000 agreed, in principle, to the proposals for the development and reorganisation of the Reserve Defence Force as set out in the White Paper and also noted the Minister's intention to submit more detailed proposals to the Government for its consideration following a consultative process which will include consultations with the Reserve Defence Force Representative Association, RDFRA, and other interested parties.
