Written Answers. - Afforestation Programme.
The area of mature forest available for harvesting this year is estimated to be 70,000 acres. This figure includes both thinnings acreage and clearfell acreage. The actual harvest figure in any year is dependent on a number of factors including market forces and storm damage.
