175 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if she will report on the delay in the processing of the statutory instrument to facilitate the amendments to the CIE clerical superannuation schemes; and in view of this, if she will arrange for this to be brought to a satisfactory conclusion as a matter of urgency. It has been necessary, before processing the relevant statutory instrument, to clarify a number of legal issues in respect of the proposed salaried staff superannuation schemes. These have now been clarified and work on the statutory instrument has now commenced. I expect that, with close co-operation between my Department and the Office of the Attorney General, this will be processed without undue delay.
