Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Moynihan

Ceist:

203 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason the 1997 area aid total for a person (details supplied) has not been adjusted to include the extra three and a half hectares which were included in 1998; and when payment will be made in this regard. [12531/00]

In 1997 the herdowner submitted a valid area aid application with a declared forage area of 60.28 hectares. The application has been fully processed and payments have issued based on this figure. Unfortunately, EU regulations prohibit amendments, including the addition of land, being made to a 1997 area aid application after 15 May 1997 and consequently no changes can be made to the area declared at this stage.
