Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Liz McManus

Ceist:

266 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that a full-time speech therapist is provided for the Cabra School for the Deaf in view of the fact that there is currently a speech therapist in the boys school and none in the girls school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12886/00]

The provision of services, including speech therapy, to persons with a physical or sensory disability in the Dublin area is the responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the regional chief executive of the authority with a request that he examine the query and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
