Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

285 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children when an operation will be scheduled for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12480/00]

The responsibility for the provision of services at the Adelaide and Meath Hospital incorporating the National Children's Hospital now rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have, therefore, asked the regional chief executive to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.

Louis J. Belton

286 Mr. Belton asked the Minister for Health and Children when a regular transport service from St. Joseph's Hospital, Longford, to Tullamore Hospital will be provided in view of the fact that there is no public transport available on this route. [12481/00]

The provision of hospital services in this case is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. My Department has asked the chief executive officer, of the board to investigate the matter and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

Willie Penrose

Ceist:

287 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children the steps he will take to have a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath admitted to the Mater Hospital, Dublin 7, for triple by-pass surgery which is urgently required in view of the fact that this person is in an intensive care unit in Longford-Westmeath General Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12482/00]

The responsibility for the provision of services at the Mater Hospital is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
