Ceist:

343 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the shortfall in the number of doctors in the casualty section of Mayo General Hospital over the past number of months; the proposals he has to address the situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13006/00]

The provision of services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply to the Deputy directly.
