Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Public Order Offences.

Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

484 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will examine the contents of a letter from a person (details supplied) in Dublin 10; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12695/00]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that proceedings have commenced to prosecute the person referred to in the Deputy's question for an offence contrary to section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994.

If the individual in question wishes to make a complaint in relation to the incident, then he should contact the Garda Síochána complaints board, which is the statutory, independent body responsible for the investigation and adjudication of complaints in relation to Garda conduct.
