Ceist:

162 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 is offered an urgently needed long-term care bed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16422/00]

The provision of health services in the Dublin area is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the authority to examine this case and respond to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.

163 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that all referrals to the Eastern Regional Health Authority following Parliamentary Questions from Deputy Mary Upton are responded to in full. [16423/00]

I have requested the chief executive officer of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to ensure the authority responds to the questions raised by the Deputy as a matter of urgency.

164 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children when the cognitive behavioural pain management programme will be established at Tallaght Hospital, as there are many patients in need of this treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16424/00]

The responsibility for the provision of services at the Adelaide and Meath hospital, incorporating the National Children's Hospital now rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
