188 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have investigations made into the reason a long awaited appointment, made by the orthodontic service in St. James's Hospital for a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow, was cancelled on Thursday, 1 June 2000, hours before this person was due to attend; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the provision of orthodontic treatment for eligible persons in County Wicklow is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority, I have asked the regional chief execu tive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
