33 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she has received the report of the review group on auditing, established as a result of the report of the DIRT committee, which was due to be received by 31 May 2000; if so, the main findings of the report; if she will publish the report; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I have not yet received the report of the Review Group on Auditing. I understand it will be the end of this month before it is ready.
I plan to publish the report after making it available to Government and the Committee of Public Accounts. I will arrange for a copy to be given to each Member of the Houses of the Oireachtas.
On its publication, I intend to invite submissions from the public on its conclusions and recommendations. I will allow about two months for the submission of comments to my Department. After examination of the report and submissions, I plan to bring the report to Government for decision in the autumn.
