69 Mr. McDowell asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment when she expects to receive the report of the independent group to investigate alleged anti-competitive practice in the beef industry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16505/00]

Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment (Ms Harney)

The independent group, set up to examine allegations of anti-competitive practice in the beef industry, has requested additional time to carry our further investigations. I have acceded to its request and I expect it to report shortly.
