Written Answers. - Community Initiative Programme.
The community initiative programme for EQUAL is due to be submitted to the European Commission by 15 September 2000. The Commission has indicated that it would expect the initial programme planning stage to be completed in all member states by the middle of February 2001. My Department has indicated that it is intended to appoint technical support assistance in implementing the programme by the autumn of this year following normal tendering procedures.
