233 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will supply information to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 4 as to the reason his sponsorship was declined in relation to a visa for a visitor from Russia; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17164/00]
My Department addressed this matter in a response to an application from the person in question under the Freedom of Information Act, 1997, which issued on 21 February 2000. The grounds for refusal of the visa application were also set out in my response to the Deputy's parliamentary Question No. 72 on 3 February 2000.
My Department has no record of an appeal from the applicant.
