Vol. 521 No. 4

Written Answers. - Disease Outbreaks.

Seamus Kirk

Ceist:

74 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if his attention has been drawn to the problem with disease breakdown, brucellosis and TB in the vicinity of British Army look-out posts in south Armagh and the serious problems farmers in the area have maintaining fences; if he will take the matter up with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17575/00]

The matter to which the Deputy refers has been raised with the British Government through the framework of the British-Irish Intergovernmental Conference. A response is awaited and I will be in direct contact with the Deputy when it is received.
