Vol. 521 No. 6

Written Answers. - Occupational Therapy Service.

Brian O'Shea

Ceist:

92 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals, if any, he has to provide additional occupational therapists for the Waterford Community care area of the South Eastern Health Board, in view of the fact that a person (details supplied) in County Waterford may have to wait 18 months before a special chair is provided for her; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17801/00]

The provision of health services in the Waterford community care area is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to examine this issue and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
