697 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the applications which have been made by Fingal County Council for sewage treatment plants and works in the Fingal area; the stage these reports are at in his Department; when he proposes to grant permission to Fingal County Council to proceed with these schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A copy is being sent to the Deputy of the list of water and sewerage schemes identified by Fingal County Council in response to my Department's request to each local authority to undertake a fresh assessment of needs for capital work in its area and to prepare a prioritised list of projects based on the assessment. This assessment is the council's most up-to-date and complete statement of its current water and sewerage infrastructure proposals.
Details of approved schemes in the Fingal area are set out in the water and sewerage services investment programme, 2000-02, a copy of which is available in the Oireachtas Library.
