Ceist:171 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the plans which are with his Department for extension and improvement to fire stations (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [20848/00]
Written Answers. - Fire Stations.
Approval in principle issued to Kilkenny County Council on 27 July 2000 for the provision of extensions to the fire stations in question. The council have recently submitted design briefs for these projects including schedules of the required accommodation. The council are, however, now recommending the provision of new two bay replacement stations at these locations and this matter is under examination in my Department at present. A reply will issue to the council as soon as possible.
