Vol. 524 No. 5

Written Answers. - Special Needs Service.

Paul McGrath

Ceist:

333 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children when professional assessment will be carried out by the Midland Health Board on a number of students in a County Westmeath school (details supplied); and if, in view of the fact that these children were referred for assessment quite some time ago, he will have these tests expedited. [23187/00]

The provision of services to persons with special needs in the Westmeath region is the responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. I have forwarded the inquiry to the chief executive officer of the board for investigation and direct reply to the Deputy.
