Ceist:384 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the average cost of construction of a unit of local authority accommodation in the year 2000. [23094/00]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 366 and 384 together.
Information available to my Department from local authorities indicates that nationally the average all-in-cost of providing a local authority house in 2000 is approximately £90,000, although costs in urban areas would considerably exceed this overall average.
