Ceist:

388 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the proposals he has to provide funding for the purchase of land adjacent to the new credit union building on Main Street, Dungarvan, County Waterford, which would provide much needed car parking facilities in the heart of Dungarvan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The purchase of land for particular developments is a matter for the local authority concerned. My Department has limited potential for involvement in such situations and has received no proposal from the relevant local authority in this case.
