Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

497 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make provision for special facilities for autistic children at Nano Nagle special school, Listowel, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23079/00]

My Department is currently processing an application from Nano Nagle special school for grant aid towards additional accommodation. The provision of suitable facilities for children with autism is being considered as part of the accommodation brief. The school authorities will be notified of progress as it happens.

Phil Hogan

Ceist:

498 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide finance for a temporary prefab to alleviate the urgent overcrowded conditions for both pupils and teachers at a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [23080/00]

My Department does not appear to have received an application from the school in question to provide temporary prefab accommodation.
