Vol. 524 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Alan M. Dukes

Ceist:

217 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason payment under the 2000 sheep headage scheme has not yet been made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry despite the fact that his Department's contention that the individual concerned had over-claimed on area aid was found to be unjustified. [22877/00]

The 2000 area aid application for the person named was randomly selected for inspection. This inspection has now taken place and any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

218 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if the original of a lease agreement was received in the County Galway section of his Department to process a REPS application; and, if so, the reason the lease was not sent to County Wexford to finalise this file. [22878/00]

The original of the lease document was received in the Galway office of my Department and was on the file which was forwarded to the Wexford office for decision.
