Bray continues to be a top priority on the list of locations that have been prioritised for the installation of a Garda closed circuit television system by the CCTV advisory committee.
I am pleased to confirm that I have secured, in the context of next year's Estimates, the necessary funds to move the Bray CCTV project on to the next phase – following the initial assessment made by the Garda authorities. This phase, which will begin shortly, will involve a competitive tendering process, in line with EU and public procurement guidelines, as well as formal consultations with local businesses regarding their contribution to the CCTV project.
