222 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance if he has received an application promoting Portarlington as an appropriate location for decentralisation of a Government Department or agency; if having regard to the suitability of the town, favourable consideration might be given in the context of the forthcoming Government plan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The submission I received from Portarlington action committee for decentralisation is one of many which will be considered in the context of the Government's forthcoming deliberations in relation to a new programme of decentralisation.
