252 Mr. C. Lenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will inquire as to whether the Eastern Health Board has any plans to improve the condition of old people's homes (details supplied) in Dublin 8 which have fallen into a state of disrepair. [26367/00]

The provision of health services in the Dublin area is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority.

I have asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this case and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
