Ceist:

369 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the properties in the Cork city and county region being used at present or proposed to be used in the future to house asylum seekers and refugees; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26548/00]

The following properties are currently being used by the directorate for asylum support services in the Cork area to house asylum seekers under the system of direct provision – North Quay Place, Cork city; Golflinks Hotel, Glengariff, County Cork; Ashbourne House Hotel, Glounthaune, County Cork; Island View House, Morrison's Quay, Cork city; 2 The Mall, Youghal, County Cork; Cork Airport Hotel, Kinsale Road, County Cork and Clonakilty Lodge, Clonakilty, County Cork.

In addition to these properties, the Office of Public Works has also purchased Lynch's Lodge Hotel in Macroom, County Cork, for use by the directorate. The directorate has also entered into a short-term contract for the supply of accommodation facilities for asylum seekers at the Rushbrooke Hotel, Cobh, County Cork.
