Vol. 526 No. 3

Written Answers. - Employment Agency Licence.

Thomas P. Broughan

Ceist:

163 Mr. Broughan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she will ensure that an employment agency licence, which has been approved almost three months ago, for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5 will be issued without further delay. [26732/00]

The application in this case for a licence to operate as an employment agency under the Employment Agency Act, 1971 was dated 12 September 2000. Upon receipt of this application for a licence, my Department undertook a number of checks as required by the Act and regulations made thereunder. The final requirement, which in this instance was the inspection of the premises carried out by the Health and Safety Authority, was completed during October. I can confirm that a licence issued to the applicant last week.
