38 Mr. Perry asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she has received an application for a work permit in respect of a person (details supplied) in Jordan; the progress which has been made in this regard; if it will be expedited in view of the fact that he has secured employment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that an application for a work permit in respect of the individual concerned was received by my Department on 13 November.

The applicant has been asked for some additional details in relation to the application and a decision will be taken on the case as soon as this is received.
