Vol. 527 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Paul Connaughton

Ceist:

166 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason an installation aid grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; the reason this application has taken so long to process; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28540/00]

The person named lodged an incomplete application under the scheme of installation aid in September 1995. The incomplete application was returned to him in December 1995. In July 1999, he was advised that the scheme had concluded and that it was open to him to make an application under the current national scheme of installation aid provided that its terms and conditions were met. No further application has been received to date.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

167 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received a 2000 suckler cow premium and slaughter premium, in view of the fact that all parcel maps which were requested were submitted in 1999. [28544/00]

The 2000 area aid application for the person named has now been fully processed with no outstanding errors and the area for payment purposes has been determined at 59.74 hectares. Any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

Payment under the slaughter premium 2000 has already issued on 11 animals for the person named. A further eight animals are currently under query and it is expected that this matter will be resolved shortly.
