Enda Kenny

Ceist:

240 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Health and Children the average response time for emergencies from each ambulance base in the Western Health Board area for each of the past three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28469/00]

Enda Kenny

Ceist:

241 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has given consideration to an expansion of the number of ambulance bases serving Mayo and north Galway; the level of service provided by each base presently; his views on whether an expansion of the number of bases would be beneficial to a better service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28470/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 240 and 241 together.

The issues raised by the Deputy are the responsibility in the first instance of the Western Health Board. I have, therefore, advised the chief executive officer of the board to look into these matters and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
