315 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the position regarding payment of a Gaeltacht new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and when payment of this grant will be made. [28492/00]
According to the records in my Department there is no current application for a new house grant from the person referred to by the Deputy.
There is, however, an application from a person with the same name and address in respect of a house improvement grant and a special extension for visitors grant. A total grant of £5,800 was sanctioned in that particular case on 1 December 2000 and payment will be made when the work is completed and the normal conditions pertaining to such grants are fulfilled.
