400 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will establish a national centre for the visually impaired in order that a co-ordinated approach to supporting all children with physical and visual disabilities can be devised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I recently received the report of the planning group which was established to examine the proposal for a national centre for the visually impaired.
The group's report puts forward a comprehensive range of very significant proposals. These are currently being examined in my Department and decisions will be taken in the context of that examination.
